September 11th Writing Contest

Open to Children entering grades 4-6 who live and/or attend school in Wethersfield. Only 1 entry per child.
Theme:
Fred Rogers once said, “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’ ” What lessons can young people learn from the firefighters, police officers, medical workers, and volunteers who helped save others on September 11, 2001, or from their family members who lived through these events?
Format:
Submissions must be an original, non-AI-generated essay; should be typed, maximum of one page, and double-spaced in 12 point font.
