are co-sponsoring a
Writing Contest
Winner will: “Light the tree” during the 3rd Annual Holiday’s on Main festivities
Theme: Which December holiday means the most to you and why?
Eligibility: Contest is open to children in grades 3 through 6 who are Wethersfield residents. Only one entry per person.
Format: Submissions may be essays, or poetry; should be typed and a maximum of two pages double spaced in 12 point font. May not use last year’s entry.
To Enter: Each participant and his/her parent/caregiver must complete and sign the official entry form below, and attach to entry.
Return entry to the Wethersfield Library-Children’s Department or email to
address below, no later than 4:45 p.m. on Friday, November 30th.
Winner will be notified by Tuesday, December 4th.
Prize: Winner will “light the tree” during the Wethersfield Chamber of Commerce 3rd Annual Holiday’s on Main event on Thursday, December 6th. Winner must arrive at Lucky Lou’s by 5:30 p.m. for the 6:00 p.m. tree lighting.
